This January, we had the privilege of supporting Freuds Group with an important campaign for NHS Talking Therapies.
The NHS wanted to piggyback 'Blue Monday' with a serious message about mental health with their ‘Notes to Self’ campaign which saw 3 brave individuals share notes they had written about their own experiences with anxiety and depression. The notes each described the definitive moment each person realised that they needed to get some support, as well as describing how the NHS Talking Therapies service helped them with their individual mental health concerns.
EDNAEDNA was brought in to oversee the production and project management of an installation placed in Black Park, Buckinghamshire. The installation was a freestanding structure (built by our production partners, Lavender Black) which visualised one of the ‘notes to self’ and the location was chosen as it was one of the places that Harmeet - the individual that wrote this particular ‘note to self’ - had spent time during her period of struggle. The installation was in situ for a guided Blue Monday walk around the park, hosted by the Buckinghamshire County Parks team.
For anyone struggling with their mental health, NHS Talking Therapies is there to help. Your GP can refer you, or you can refer yourself online. Visit nhs.co.uk/talk for more information.
